July Wrap-Up

Hey Guys. I hope you guys are having a really nice day.

What is this? A post! After almost a month of nothing? What?!

So I haven’t posted anything in here for like so long and I know, I’m aware. I was really tired this month from so many things and I took a needed break from the internet. I’m slowly getting into it again and I’m excited to write a post.

There was a booktube read-a-thon this month from July 14-20 and that week was the most exhausting week of my entire life, and I used to dance, wow. That whole week I read one book a day and that has never happened before, well not in a whole week. I read 3 books in a row each in a day before but never a whole week of reading a whole book in one day.

It was a fun week of reading, but during that weekend though, I didn’t get to read because I was so so so so tired. I even went with my parents to a family friend’s house and I fell asleep on their couch. I did try to read though, but I couldn’t do it without sleeping. The whole week was like that but during the beginning of the week I could still finish the book, but that weekend I really couldn’t take anymore so I stopped trying because my body is more important than some read-a-thon and I’m ahead for my reading challenge of the year. I was already having problems with my sleep schedule before, but that week made it so much worse.

After that long week of sleep deprivation and reading 5 books, my brain needed a long holiday. I think my brain is still currently trying to recover. My math is a bit slow, I’m not quite comprehending things and I am constantly tired, but I have to wake up earlier than usual because I’m babysitting. So to relax myself I like baking and when I’m baking, I can tell, my brain is not working. I’ve made a few measurement mistakes, few timing errors and also a few baking errors. They’re nothing too bad. and I managed to fix them after I’ve noticed the mistakes. I still had some delicious desserts, so that’s good.

That’s just a not-so-mini update. Here is what I read from that exhausting read-a-thon:

I didn’t read them in that order, but it looked really weird with Landline in the middle of a series. Here are the books and my ratings in the order that I read them in.

I read Landline after The Lighting Thief because I received a book depository package with Landline in it on Monday. I was going to read it after the read-a-thon was done, but my excitement was too much and I ended up reading it after The Lightning Thief that night. I did not regret that decision otherwise it would still be in my TBR right now.

I’ve taken a good long break, and I think I’m ready to read again. If I try again and I’m still not ready, that’s okay, I don’t need to stress myself out because I’m not reading.  I’m 6 books ahead of my reading challenge for the year and I do have some TV shows I want to catch up with.

Happy Reading
